Apart
from offering a great range of hair and body care products made from natural
ingredients, what extra The Body Shop offers to loyalists like me is their
awesome Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/TheBodyShop
When you log onto their Facebook page, the first thing you notice are these
images of various natural ingredients like fruits, nuts etc. and local people
of different ethnicities collecting or carrying them. This has a feel good factor and gives a sense
of satisfaction that what you are subjecting your skin and hair to are actually
made of natural ingredients.
Their
Facebook page carries all sorts of product information. You get to know about
new product launches, special offers, coupons and much more. Also, they make a
conscious effort to showcase how eco-friendly and ethical the company is and
that their products are all natural.
I
am pretty impressed with their promptness in responding to fans’ queries or complaints.
They interact with the fans regularly by initiating interesting discussions or
by simply liking the photos and comments posted by the fans. This surely makes them
feel special and cared for. Their
Facebook page also has fun elements like various contests (for instance, ‘Divine
Chocolate Share the Love Recipe Story Contest’), helpful tips (‘Easy Halloween
Makeup Looks’) etc.
Facebook
is also being effectively used as a platform to support social causes. They
have started various campaigns on Facebook such as ‘Stop Sex Trafficking of
Children & Young People’ and ‘Defend Human Rights’. Such initiatives
bolster its image of a socially responsible company. Another good feature is
that the fans can interact with the suppliers of the company from the different
parts of the world and become more aware of what is actually going into the
products. So, haven’t you got enough reasons to ‘like’ The Body Shop?
