They're a Lot Like Us

I think PEMCO Insurance is doing a fantastic job with their Facebook page. They realized that since they offer an unsought good, the last thing people probably want to see on Facebook is information about insurance. Therefore PEMCO decided to continue its Northwest-centric focus and use Facebook as a way to share information about the Northwest.

Looking at their wall right now, I see information about hiking on Mount St. Helens, photos relating to one of their most recent "Northwest Profiles": Flawless Firewood Stacker, and an article about Portlanders and why they love their city.

PEMCO has made their brand friendly, approachable, trustworthy, informative, and fun. Heck, I'm a fan of theirs on Facebook and they're not even my insurance provider! But the next time my insurance is up for renewal you can be sure I'll be taking a closer look at PEMCO.
