Bad product + bad customer service + bad review = police case

Considering the content covered in class yesterday, I decided to share with you the following word-of-mouth case: last week something really bad happened in a Wal Mart Brazil store. Some costumer, while was buying a ground beef, noticed that the date listed as "packed" was the next day. Then she thought: how something that is already on the shelves will be packed tomorrow? This woman spoke to the manager, but he didn't pay attention to the problem.

So she took a picture of this product and posted it on Facebook, calling "Meat of the Future" and explaining the situation (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2479277023354&set=p.2479277023354&type=1&theaterIn one day this post had over 9,000 shares !!!!! In the next day the police went to that store and found several products with expired date. Beyond the impact on the Internet, this situation became a police case and even came out in printed media.

How this store will reverse the situation I don't know ... but this is a good example of how one bad product followed by a bad costumer service can turn in a "bad word-of-mouth" case.
