Whole Foods

Good example of a company who is using social media to its fullest is Whole Foods.  They focus their social media efforts on customer interaction.  Today’s market it’s important to stay connected with your customers and listen to what they have to say and also educate your customers about the products your selling and services offered.

One aspect of social media Whole Foods uses is they have set up Twitter accounts to educate customers about their ingredients, products as well as questions about recipes.   There is even a mobile application customers can use to share recipes.

The company is easily accessible to all of its customers by encouraging them to give feedback.  On their website, there is a “talk to us” tab, which gives you access to their twitter, facebook, flickr and blog sites.  You can even sign up to receive their newsletters by email.  Customers can find resources on healthy living tips, which they encourage for lifelong health.

Many individual locations have set up their own twitter/facebook accounts because the company’s headquarters can’t answer all questions related to individual stores.

Whole foods has done a great job using social media communication to involve their customers and community, as is evident from the examples above.  Customers have the ability to access Whole Foods easily with questions and comments and also obtain resources for recipes and healthy living ideas.
