Social Media at a Business-to-Business Agency

The company I work for, Projectline, is a marketing and business intelligence consulting agency that has been honored with numerous awards for being a great place to work and for being a fast-growing company. For an organization that works in the business-to-business economy, Projectline is exceptionally active in social media and takes full advantage of opportunities in that realm. At least five employees at the company directly manage social media.

Projectline has a Twitter handle and three people—including one of the company’s founders, a social media expert, and an employee in the company’s London office—tweet on a regular basis. The folks managing the Twitter presence tend to follow people and organizations related to the company’s business operations, and they’re always sure to thank new followers.

The Twitter account frequently announces original content from the company’s blog. Many employees at Projectline contribute to the blog and the company maintains a frequent pace of publication. Topics range widely but include the photo of the week, thought leadership articles, and how-to pieces on the craft of creating marketing collateral. The company also has a Facebook page.

Projectline is a very forward-thinking company that is deeply involved in volunteering in the community and promoting an environmentally conscious workplace. Many of its tweets or posts promote the corporate culture and the socially responsible efforts the company takes. You can find photos of Projectliners doing good work on the company’s Flickr site
